Carlos Ray “Chuck” Norris is an American martial artist and actor. After serving in the United States Air Force, he began his rise to fame as a martial artist, and has since founded his own school, Chun Kuk Do.

Norris wrote in his nationally syndicated weekly column originating in WND: “WND Editor Joseph Farah and thousands of others across the land are calling up America’s spiritual reserves, challenging our spiritual fervor and cranking up our spiritual warfare by also declaring a National Day of Prayer and Fasting – and on what better day than Sept. 11, 2013?

Barton issued a statement of support: “National leaders such as Michele Bachmann, Greg Laurie, Jonathan Cahn, and Joseph Farah have stated that what America needs most right now are the sincere and humble prayers of believers following the prescription of II Chronicles 7:14. I agree. A national day of prayer and fasting on 9/11/13 is a concept all Christians can and should get behind. It’s not too late for God to heal our nation. But we can’t do it ourselves without His mighty hand.”
